2nd Place Overall ETS AI Hackathon

ETS AI Hackathon is a company-wide initiative to ignite new ideas to solve modern workforce needs by applying Generative AI. The demo presented, which achieved 2nd Place Overall, is an AI-generated interview Simulator focused on skillset diagnosis and candidate development. Over 100 participants were grouped into 22 teams.

Operational Excellence Award

Selected to receive an Operational Excellence Award as part of ETS Presidential Awards:
Archana Iranganti and Maria Rivero worked together to develop a Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) framework and Machine Learning Development Lifecycle (MLDLC), which is now part of the Technology Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). MLOps aims to integrate agile methodologies into the end-to-end process of developing and running ML/AI workloads. It brings together best practices from Data Science, Data Engineering, and DevOps to streamline model design, development, and delivery across the MLDLC. The framework was designed to be language, platform, and infrastructure agnostic to ensure it provides optimal MLOps experience and guidance for users at ETS in building and deploying ML models.

2021 Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence Awarded by Governor’s Wolf Administration and the Department of Environmental Protection of Pennsylvania (DEP) “Multi-Environmental Parameters Dashboard for Susquehanna River Basin using Machine Learning Techniques.”

DEP honored 13 projects by schools, businesses, and community organizations around the state with the 2021 Governor’s Awards for Environmental Excellence. “This year’s Environmental Excellence honorees showcase the innovation and passion that our students, educators, and community and business leaders bring to environmental challenges,” said Governor Tom Wolf. “Their dedication brings health, economic, and recreation benefits not only to their communities but to all Pennsylvanians.”
Harrisburg University of Science and Technology received this Award acknowledging the Research that developed the multi-environmental parameters' dashboard to predict the water quality of the Susquehanna River Basin using Machine Learning Techniques.
